Angel Studios Surpasses 2 Million Guild Members

Sometimes an industry milestone feels big because of the number attached to it. Other times it feels big because of what it represents. Angel Studios crossing two million Angel Guild members is both, and for those of us who have watched this journey closely, it feels like a genuine moment worth celebrating out loud.

According to the old rules this isn’t supposed to happen to a values-driven studio. In less than a year after surpassing one million members in March 2025, Angel Studios doubled its Guild, growing another 25 percent just since the third quarter.

What makes this milestone especially meaningful is how Angel has grown. From the beginning, the Angel Guild hasn’t been a passive subscription base, it’s been an active creative community. Members help decide which stories get told and which projects move forward. Two million people choosing to participate in that model says something powerful about where entertainment is heading, and about how hungry audiences are for stories rooted in hope, conviction, and craft.

The timing matters too. This growth follows a remarkable year for Angel theatrically, led by the animated epic DAVID, which delivered the highest-grossing faith-based animated opening of all time and became the strongest theatrical debut in the company’s history. With DAVID and The King of Kings, Angel now counts two of the ten highest-grossing animated films of 2025, with international releases still rolling out.

Over the past year, the studio hasn’t just expanded its slate, introducing hundreds of new films, episodes, and specials. It has also taken a major step toward owning and stewarding its most impactful stories. Acquiring key intellectual proprieties like DAVID, Tuttle Twins, Homestead, and our own CCM family favorite, The Wingfeather Saga, signals a long-term commitment to building a library that can serve families and communities for years to come.

And the range of content arriving now only reinforces that vision. January alone brings fantasy adventures, survival dramas, animated series, thoughtful documentaries, heartfelt family films, and even a steady lineup of clean comedy through Dry Bar. Angel’s slate no longer fits neatly into one category, and that’s a strength.

Two million Guild members isn’t just a stat for a press release. It’s a statement. It’s proof that faith-based entertainment doesn’t have to shrink its vision to survive, and that when audiences are invited into the process, they show up in force.

So from all of us at CCM Magazine, congratulations to Angel Studios and the entire Angel Guild. This is a huge accomplishment, and if the past year is any indication, it’s only the beginning.
