Crossroads Music to Release ‘God of the Breakthrough’
Nashville, TN (May 16, 2019) Crossroads Music knows what it means to pray for a breakthrough. The Cincinnati, Ohio-based worship collective of Crossroads Church is sharing the heart behind their prayers in their new single, “God of the Breakthrough,” set to release on digital platforms June 7. The single will be the sixth single Crossroads Music has recorded and released, following two EP’s and two full-length albums. Written as a response to the death of one of Crossroads Church’s senior leaders, and a near-fatal heart attack that struck the Church’s executive pastor, co-writer Austin Livingood says “God of the Breakthrough” is an anthem written out of desperate prayers for God to intervene in impossible situations. “We have seen people…

God’s Broken Family
God’s Broken Family It’s tempting to freak out over the fact that our families are broken — to think that if we fix the issues of marriage, money, and faith, we’ll fix the future of our families, and voila! — all will be well. But in reality, broken families are not new. We all come from a broken family because God’s family is broken. The thing is, this isn’t the tragedy we assume. Broken is right where God wants us — and right where He can powerfully reassemble us. In the beginning, God created man and woman. Adam and Eve were a family, a man and a woman evidencing the image of God in…

Every time, God is Greater.
Two nights ago I awoke in the middle of the night with “concerns”. I got up at 12:05 and sat on the couch in my living room for 2 hours. There I: worried about my son and something he said. became concerned about a get together with a critical friend. felt guilty about doing something I knew I should not have done. My first instinct when dealing with all this was to develop my own attack plan. First step: In the morning, I’d tell my husband how to “talk” to my son. The Afters — Fear No More
Writing and recording music written from the human experience has long been a specialty of award-winning band, The Afters. Their deep catalog of songs connects people to one another, putting words to both the answered and unanswered prayers of the heart. But when it was time to write for their new album, Fear No More, band members Josh Havens, Jordan Mohilowski, Matt Fuqua and Dan Ostebo found themselves looking inward and leaning on each other in a brand-new way. “One thing I love about our band is we’re like brothers,” Havens shares. “We really are. We’ve been through a lot together over the years and those challenges have brought us…
