“I came to a place a few months ago where I realized that I had just let some of the stuff creep into my heart where I was more concerned with what God could do for me and what He could give me than just Him.I started to be disappointed cause things didn’t work out the way I thought they would or things weren’t being answered the way I thought they should. And I just had a moment one day where I just kinda recognized that in my heart and I realized it for the first time. It just broke me and I said ‘God you know I don’t want that, I want you.’ So I wanted to write this song just to repent. To really turn from that into, ok I’m coming back to what really matters.” – Cody Carnes
