The Apostles’ Code: Countenance
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace. — Galatians 5:22 The evidence of Spirit-filled living will not be in what we say or even in what we do. It will be written on our faces in our countenance of love, joy, and peace. The first proof is found in love. The Greeks had… The post The Apostles’ Code: Countenance appeared first on FaithGateway.

Keep Calm and Carry On
“See the hole in the skyline?” I leaned forward and followed the finger of the driver. He was a rotund guy named Frank. Neck too big for his collar, hands too thick to wrap around the steering wheel. He pointed through the windshield at the forest of buildings called Lower Manhattan. “The towers used… The post Keep Calm and Carry On appeared first on FaithGateway.

I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord. They will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with all their heart. — Jeremiah 24:7 Lauren stared at the photo on her phone, barely comprehending what she saw. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. Under God’s Cover
This morning my 6-year old daughter wondered if there was a tornado coming. Out of fun, I checked the weather. Oddly enough, she was right. There was a tornado warning for our area. For the next hour, we should: beware. Laying on the bed, while trying to calm her fears, I said, “Do you know what I would do, Madison, if a tornado came this way?” “What, Mommy?” “I’d throw my body over you, like this…” I then, laid right over her, acting like a mammoth overhead-covering so she wouldn’t get hit by the imagined fray and swirling winds. At that second this verse popped in my head… “He will…

Former Downhere Co-Frontman Jason Germain Records New Song
It’s been 8 years since contemporary Christian rock band Downhere ended their public ministry. While one of their co-frontmen, Marc Martel, has been very busy with a full load of solo projects, the other vocalist, Jason Germain, has been radio silent. Having switched exclusively to the production side of music, listeners haven’t heard Germain’s signature deep vocals since the final notes of “Reveal The Kingdom” closed out Downhere’s final album. Until now. On Easter Sunday evening, Germain posted a lyric video to Facebook of a brand new Easter song he recorded with the church band for Stonebridge Bible Church. The song, possibly titled “He Is Alive,” although not explicitly named…
