Charles Billingsley Brings Christmas to The Nations Most Prestigious Stages
Fresh off a powerful performance at Carnegie Hall, Charles Billingsley enters the Christmas season with a tender new offering. His brand-new holiday single, “Truly Home” (StowTown Records/Sony/Provident), arrives just as he launches a 14-city Christmas tour that will bring him to some of the most iconic stages in America, including Liberty University and the Kennedy Center.
“Truly Home” comes from a deeply personal place. Written in the wake of his mother’s passing, the song holds a timeless message about the comfort of heaven and the promise of reunion that sits at the center of the Christian faith. And though it was born out of Billingsley’s own grief, its reach is universal.
“The holiday season is full of so much joy and laughter!” Billingsley says. “But, for many it can also be a time of sadness…especially for those who have recently lost a loved one. I, too, have experienced the fullness of that joy, but also the weight of that sadness. I pray that this song I wrote for my mom will encourage and bless you this Thanksgiving and Christmas season. My prayer is that it will remind you of the eternal home and the everlasting hope we have as children of God.”
That heart runs through every line of “Truly Home.” The song acknowledges the bittersweet tension of Christmastime—the joy of the season paired with the ache of missing those who are no longer here.
