Choose Me by Marion Ueckermann is the most delightful Christian romance that will warm your heart. It is the fourth book in the Chapel Cove series but can be read as a stand-alone. I however enjoyed my return visit to the cove.
Marion Ueckermann writes novels that wrap around the reader like a cosy dressing gown. Choose Me has some wonderful wholesome characters with huge hearts bursting with love.
The novel has weighty family issues, reminding the reader that every child is planned by God and come as no surprise to Him, no matter what their earthly parents think. Parenthood is so much more than just giving birth. Parenthood is loving and nurturing children to adulthood and beyond.
God writes our stories. He knows the end of our tale from the start. When things look hopeless, God can take our messes and turn them into masterpieces.
Within the story there is the theme of healing – literally and spiritually. Hurting hearts are healed when love is applied.
Second chances and forgiveness are also themes. Forgiveness needs to be dispensed or hearts will harden. We must forgive others and ourselves.
Sometimes we lock our hearts away to protect us from hurt. We need to release our hearts and take a chance on love.
Choose Me is a most charming read. I could not put it down and read it in just one session. I adore all Marion Ueckermann’s novels. I think they would all make wonderful Hallmark movies… any producers out there please take note.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
