First Line Fridays: “How the Light Gets In”

Happy Friday! It’s bitterly cold here—January is definitely acting like January—and I can’t wait to spend tomorrow curled up with a blanket and a good book! The book I’m currently reading, which I’m spotlighting today, definitely qualifies as a good book. Jolina Petersheim’s How the Light Gets In is the story of a young widow who goes to stay with her deceased husband’s Old Order Mennonite cousin, and it’s completely fascinating so far.The caskets were closed, of course. How’s that for a first line? I’ve loved what I’ve read of this novel, and I can’t wait for some time to really dive into it! My review will go up on Monday, so be sure to come back to check it out.Check out the book on Amazon & Goodreads. What are you currently reading?
