Good Things Collective Announces Upcoming New Song

August 21, 2025 / Comments Off on Good Things Collective Announces Upcoming New Song

Worship group Good Things Collective returns with an uptempo, female led, service opener called “House of Praise,” releasing August 29 via Real Fun Records. This song declares and confesses that we need to shift Sunday morning expectations, inviting the Church to recognize the reality that we’re not asking God into our space, we’re stepping into His. Right from the start the lyric, “God, this is Your house, come take Your rightful place,” reminds us of who truly leads the Church. “We were at a church songwriting camp kind of laughing at how often we say, ‘God, we invite You in,’ when it’s actually His house,” Jesse Phillips, one of the…

The Human Heartbeat Behind Sirius XM’s The Message

August 20, 2025 / Comments Off on The Human Heartbeat Behind Sirius XM’s The Message

When you think about satellite radio, thousands of channels, millions of listeners, you might picture a faceless algorithm, a machine spitting out the same ten songs over and over. I’ll admit, that was in the back of my mind when SiriusXM invited me to their Nashville studios for a special live recording with Katy Nichole. But I walked away thinking about how much humanity drives what they do. Their Nashville studio is stunning. Intimate, beautifully lit, and located right across from my personal favorite venue in the world, the Mother Church itself, the Ryman Auditorium. Katy was there for a deep dive into her new record, Honest Conversations. We sat…

Get Real: Blessing Offor Turns Pain and Joy Into Art

August 19, 2025 / Comments Off on Get Real: Blessing Offor Turns Pain and Joy Into Art

“Nashville is really community oriented,” Blessing Offor told me, leaning back with the kind of unhurried confidence you only get from someone who’s lived in a lot of places but knows where they belong. “People tend to be a lot more open handed. And I’m sure in LA, if you got plugged into the right community, they would tell you the same thing. But I’ve experienced that in Nashville like I’ve never experienced anywhere else.” Community is at the center of Blessing’s new record Real and his overall message as an artist. It is not a clean and neat story. It is not all joy, and it is not…

The Secret Orphanage by Barbara Josselsohn

August 18, 2025 / Comments Off on The Secret Orphanage by Barbara Josselsohn

Extraordinary Acts Of Bravery The Secret Orphanage by Barbara Josselsohn is a powerful dual timeline novel that consumed me from the start. The story is set in 1943 in occupied France and in 2018 in America. The storylines are linked by a granddaughter in present day, wanting to find out about her grandfather’s war. And […]

Witch Hunt by B D Spargo

August 18, 2025 / Comments Off on Witch Hunt by B D Spargo

An Intricate Plotline Witch Hunt by B D Spargo is a fast-paced contemporary murder suspense which I enjoyed. It is the second book in the DCI Liam Doyle thriller series but can be read as a stand-alone. I recommend reading book one first for character development, background and progression. I enjoyed meeting with familiar faces, […]
