Dawson McAllister Passes Away at 74
On Thursday, December 17, longtime radio host and youth minister Dawson McAllister passed away at age 74. His radio show ‘Dawson McAllister Live!’ was one of the most popular longstanding radio programs on Christian radio. Dawson made quite an impact on the lives of people around the country, and in 1973 founded Shepherd Productions (now the Dawson McAllister Association). He also began city-wide student conferences, and after over 20 years, these conferences were attended by over a million students.
