    Don’t Give up in Prayer

November 20, 2020 / Comments Off on Don’t Give up in Prayer

    Forgiving God

November 19, 2020 / Comments Off on Forgiving God

Getting hurt by people is hard. Getting hurt by what God allows can feel unbearable. While I might phrase my disillusionment as a question of why or how, when I lay my head on my tear-soaked pillow, questions can turn into bitter feelings. I probably wouldn’t want to raise my hand at Bible study and… The post Forgiving God appeared first on FaithGateway.

    Practice the Art of Gentleness

November 18, 2020 / Comments Off on Practice the Art of Gentleness

Nothing is so strong as true gentleness. Nothing is so gentle as true strength. ~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe Have you ever seen gentleness de-escalate a tense situation? If so, maybe you were the source of that gentleness. The Bible tells us that a gentle answer can calm a person’s anger (Proverbs 15:1). Gentleness almost… The post Practice the Art of Gentleness appeared first on FaithGateway.

    A Spiritual Secret Weapon

November 18, 2020 / Comments Off on A Spiritual Secret Weapon

There is one spiritual weapon many of us forget about. We don’t think to use it, to leverage it. It’s too bad, because this weapon keeps us strong. It prevents us from getting battle-weary and war-torn. Before I tell you what it is, let me tell you a story… My daughter, Madison, loves to fall. She will look at me and say, “Hey, Mommy, I am going to fall backwards. Catch me.” She will make her body rock-hard and strong like a plank of wood and then she’ll fall backwards. Knowing I’m behind her, I catch her. She calls it a “trust-fall.” Again and again — she trust-falls. Everytime, she…

You Are Never Alone Week 5 — God Is with You in the Valley

November 16, 2020 / Comments Off on You Are Never Alone Week 5 — God Is with You in the Valley

For our sake [God] made [Christ] to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. — 2 Corinthians 5:21 His command at Bethany had been enough to call Lazarus from the grave. Don’t Doubt the Devil

November 16, 2020 / Comments Off on Don’t Doubt the Devil

The God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. — Romans 16:20 Who is responsible for the infamy, terror, and agony that we see all around us? How can we account for the sufferings that we all experience if evil is not a potent force? Education has, in truth, impeded our minds….
