You Are Not Defined By What You Achieve
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. — Proverbs 16:18 So many of us try to define ourselves by our accomplishments, to find our worth in what we’ve done, instead of in whom we belong to. We want to let our achievements, our victories, our trophies, our wins to define us… The post You Are Not Defined By What You Achieve appeared first on FaithGateway.

Do you Feel Alone and Stuck?
Some of you may feel God has you in a time-out. While everyone is running ahead, there you sit. While people know where they’re going, you’re twiddling your thumbs. While they’re getting together, you’re by yourself. Lately, I can’t describe it, but God seems to be time-outting me. I hear about things happening that I am not included in. I dream of having certain doors open; they haven’t. I pray and doors get shut, not opened. Here I sit — with God. Old stuff has lost flavor. What’s your plan for me, God? Sitting with God is not a bad place to be, but at times it feels lonely. You…

Wait While God Works
So here I sit in the waiting room. The receptionist took my name, recorded my insurance data, and gestured to a chair. “Please have a seat. We will call you when the doctor is ready.” I look around. A mother holds a sleeping baby. A fellow dressed in a suit thumbs through Time magazine. A woman with a newspaper looks at her watch, sighs, and continues the task of the hour: waiting. The waiting room. Not the examination room. That’s down the hall. Not the consultation room. That’s on the other side of the wall. Not the treatment room. Exams, consultations, and treatments all come later. The task at hand is the…

Indie EDM Artist A-Duff Releases ‘One-Life’
Australia (June 23, 2019)Australian Christian EDM artist Aaron Duff, a.k.a. A-DUFF, has released his latest project, One-Life.Challenging himself to make a diverse album showcasing a variety of musical sounds from across the spectrum of EDM styles, Aaron Duff’s debut album One-Life was composed, produced, performed and arranged by the one man over two years. The 12 track album is a true reflection of A-DUFF’s life until now with his faith and philosophical insights. Music videos…
