Chosen Road Joins Legendary Lineup For Sunday Mornin’ Country During 2023 CMA Fest
NASHVILLE, Tenn.
Chart-topping Thoroughbred Records bluegrass ensemble Chosen Road joined a star-studded lineup of country artists, television personalities and music icons for the 41st Annual Sunday Mornin’ Country, held last weekend at the Grand Ole Opry House.
Hosted by legendary entertainer Brenda Lee—GRAMMY® Lifetime Achievement Award recipient and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Country Music Hall of Fame, and Rockabilly Hall of Fame—the event also featured performances by GRAMMY®-winning co-founder of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, John McEuen; Platinum-selling country artist John Berry; Grand Ole Opry regulars Darin & Brooke Aldridge; and GRAMMY®-nominated singer/songwriter Tim Menzies, among others.
Prior to the show, Chosen Road performed a special acoustic set in the Grand Ole Opry House lobby as attendees arrived. The band then stepped onto the Opry House stage for a rousing rendition of “Awake My Soul,” a newly penned standout track from their forthcoming June 23 release, It Never Gets Old. Chosen Road also joined the show’s acclaimed lineup for a powerful finale performance of the classic “Will The Circle Be Unbroken,” led by McEuen.
Sponsored by the Nashville-based nonprofit Music City Christian Fellowship, Sunday Mornin’ Country is the longest-running country/Gospel event held during CMA Fest. Through the years, the show has featured such iconic performers as The Oak Ridge Boys, Roy Acuff, Ricky Skaggs, Tammy Wynette, Roy Clark, and Vestal Goodman, among many others.
