NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 9, 2023
Notable leaders are lending their voices to encourage the Church to share Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream by endorsing a new transformative video Bible study, Share the Dream: Shining a Light in a Divided World through Six Principles of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

An antidote for the hate, violence and division in our world, Share the Dream is a joint effort from HarperChristian Resources in collaboration with Urban Ministries, Inc., and The K.I.N.G. Movement. The study, available now, teaches individuals how to live out Dr. King’s biblically based principles of love, conscience, freedom, justice, perseverance and hope.

“In these difficult and dangerous times, this material needs to be in the arsenal of those who seek to bring healing to our hurting nation,” said Barry Black, U.S. Senate Chaplain.

The Share the Dream video Bible study is co-hosted by Matthew Daniels, J.D., Ph.D., a human rights and counter-terrorism expert, and Chris Broussard, an acclaimed journalist and broadcaster for FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports Radio. It also brings together an esteemed lineup of high-profile figures who lend their insights and perspectives.

“This series highlights the spiritual aspect behind the early Civil Rights Movement, reminding us that it was fueled not just by human principles, but by God’s love for all people,” said Kathy Scheuerman, President of Basketball Club International. “This series will enable us to be catalysts for positive change through principles that unify like hope, freedom, justice, and perseverance…those principles that were at the very core of Dr. King’s lifelong dedication.”

The video study consists of dynamic lessons that delve into each of the six principles, accompanied by an engaging study guide to facilitate individual or group reflection. Each lesson combines powerful teachings, thought-provoking discussions, and real-life applications to encourage viewers to live out these principles in their daily lives.

“Our prayer is that Share the Dream would be distributed far and wide to as many communities as possible,” said Rev. Dr. Gabriel Salguero, President, National Latino Evangelical Coalition. “NaLEC is asking that you prayerfully consider this important resource in your ministry.”

HarperChristian Resources, UMI and The K.I.N.G. Movement are also offering free resources for churches willing to participate in Share the Dream Sunday on Aug. 27.
