The Library Of Lost And Found by Phaedra Patrick

The Library Of Lost And Found by Phaedra Patrick is the most beautifully written novel that will make you smile and ignite your heart.

The book is mainly set in the present day with a few forages into the 1970’s. It is a story about relationships and family. Family dynamics may be complicated but there are unbreakable bonds formed.

A relationship between a grandmother and her granddaughter is truly beautiful. Under love and care, a new life blossoms. They bring out the best in each other as they are united by their love of stories. Within the tale there are references to books as well as beautifully written unique tales that explain how a child is feeling when words cannot be spoken aloud.

The main character has a huge heart that just cannot say ‘no.’ People seem to put upon her even though she is loved. She seems to be under appreciated except by a very few. She needs to find her voice.

Secrets and lies within a family weigh heavy. Relationships become strained. It is far better when things come to light.

The reader’s heart breaks as we witness a controlling relationship that impacts on two young children. The reader longs to see them have fun, the time to be serious is when they are older. Some people never lose their sense of joy in the little things in life. This is a pure delight for the reader.

We all need people who will encourage us. There are some kind hearts at work who bring a character out of her shell.

Phaedra Patrick is a new author to me. I absolutely loved The Library Of Lost And Found. In spite of some serious topics there was a beautiful air of love covering the novel. It was a feel-good read that warmed my heart. I loved Phaedra Patrick’s style so much that I have ordered another one of her books to read.

I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
