Best Thing I Heard Today: February 12, 2019
So Names Without Numbers has gotten back together and put out some new music….some really good music that is. I’ve stated many times that I prefer my catchy, poppy tunes to be delivered with a bit of an edge…rock, alternative, rap, hard music, etc. That said, I still listen for the pop hook…and these guys have plenty of that. Names Without Numbers first appeared on the Tooth & Nail compilation I’m Your Biggest Fan Vol. 2 in 2002. They released a few other projects before breaking up. The band reunited occasionally over the years and now are back on a more permanent status. They recently released a new video for their song…

Her recent release, The Gathering, was recorded at a grassroots outdoor worship gathering, an organic setting within which the Spirit could move in an intimate way through prayerful songs of praise. Jesus, I Need Your Grace
That Difficult Person Dear Jesus, I need Your help. Someone is making my life difficult. I have tried to be kind and patient — You know I have, Lord. But there have been times when I’ve lost my temper — You know that too. I’ve said unkind things and thought even worse things. Our relationship needs healing; it needs You. Jesus, show me what to do. I pray for You to step in and make this right. Teach me, Lord. How would You handle this person? Please take away these feelings of anger and hurt and replace them with grace and love. “Seventy times seven”: That’s what You said to…

Monday Morning Prayer
Father God, Today, we pause from our normal blog posts, to say thank you. We pause from the busyness of our morning to honor you and to reconnect with you. We pause our mind to think of you. We set down our schedule to recognize all you’ve given us. You are worthy of praise. In the midst of life’s curveballs, you are worthy of praise. When we experience mountaintop successes, you are worthy of praise. When we dive into valley-low places, you are worthy of praise. In all this, and through every learning, dream, failure, and realization…we say, “Thank you.” You are good and your love endures forever. Jesus, thank…

Love Sacrificially
Love comes in many forms. In today’s culture we have a tendency to throw the ‘love’ word around for just about anything. Stephanie and I love Mexican food. We love ice cream. We love date night…and many other things that we do together. Love can have different meanings depending on what your situation is or the people that you are around. As many of you know there is another kind of love that completely transcends any of the superficial ‘loves’ that we claim on a daily basis. This kind of love is Agape Love. God is very clear and He calls us to this different kind of love. We are supposed…
