The Gift of Friendship
Editor’s note: C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien were two of the most prolific writers of faith and fiction in the 20th century. They were also great friends, and Tolkien was a guiding force in Lewis coming to faith in Christ. Both men also served as soldiers in the First World War, survived the trenches,… The post The Gift of Friendship appeared first on FaithGateway.

You Won’t Get it Right All The Time!
You won’t get it right, all the time. Last Thursday, as the blog post I wrote about “patience” hit your inbox, let me tell you — my patience was running thin. Here I was telling you why you should be patient, yet, I was snapping at my kids… What I thought I had it figured out when I wrote the post on Tuesday, was an issue again on Thursday! The fact of the matter is — we don’t get it right, all the time. Some of us need to hear this loud and clear today: you won’t get it right all the time. You’ll yell when you meant to be…

Accept Me by Marion Ueckermann
Searching For Roots Accept Me by Marion Ueckermann is a most delightful contemporary Christian novel and part of the Chapel Cove Romance series. I am NOT a Reader
I am not a reader. I am not a writer, despite childhood ambition. I am not a knitter, though I used to claim that identity. I am not a homeschooler, a baker, or a pianist. We should enjoy the stretches of the ride when the sun shines and things go beautifully. We ought to thank God for the times when… The post You’ll Get Through This appeared first on FaithGateway.

Captivating: All Women Are Called to Mother
To Mother As large as the role is that our mothers play, the word mother is more powerful when used as a verb than as a noun. All women are not mothers, but all women are called to mother. To mother is to nurture, to train, to educate, to rear. As daughters of Eve, all women… The post Captivating: All Women Are Called to Mother appeared first on FaithGateway.

Why Pray for Wisdom Anyway?
This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit. — 1 Corinthians 2:13 Wisdom was there in the very beginning, guiding the creation of the cosmos. Wisdom revealed the one true God to the Jewish people, and spoke truth through their prophets and teachers…. The post Why Pray for Wisdom Anyway? appeared first on FaithGateway.
