Untouched: Battle of Inner Demons and Conscience
A conscientious soul makes a man stand with courageous integrity and fight for the truth. This story tells how guilt works in the lives of those who harboured regrets. Main character Mitch was a lawyer. She inherited her mom’s firm in Savannah. Eleanor was an authoritative figure not only in the firm and their town but in her son’s life as well. Mitch became pushed over and preferred to do his mom’s bidding. His behaviour may seem intriguing — an adult without a backbone of his own. As the plot unfolds, Mitch showed that even an educated person from a well-off family could become vulnerable to his emotions. Much as we too,…

110-Year-Old Woman Credits God’s Blessing for Longevity: ‘He’s the One Keeping Me’
A Texas woman who celebrated her 110th birthday Saturday isn’t crediting diet or genes for her long life, instead, she is giving all of the credit to God. “Blessing of the Lord. He’s the one keeping me. That’s why I’m living,”, Elizabeth Francis told ABC 13 in Houston. Francis was born in Louisiana in 1909. That year, William Howard Taft was president. Wilbur and Orville Wright had flown their famous plane just six years earlier. World War I had not yet started. Civil War veterans were still alive. In 1909, the life expectancy of a woman in America was only 54 years old. Francis defied those odds for yet another year, as…

Without The Cross Easter Has No Meaning
I don’t know about you but when spring comes I get so excited. That means the good weather is coming back, patio season is at our doors, the flowers are blooming but most important is Easter! Though some people get excited about the chocolates and the bunnies what I look to most about this holiday is church. If it wasn’t for the cross, Easter would have no meaning. Easter is more than just Good Friday and dressing nice on Easter Sunday, it’s more than just family and having a nice super with the church it’s a reminder that Jesus fought death and beat it! A reminder that we are no…

Humiliation
Recently I was having lunch with some friends at a shopping mall. As we got our food and sat down, one of my friends said that she wasn’t feeling well. After a few minutes she decided to go to the restroom. As she stood up, she started to pass out. She was able to lie down on the floor to avoid passing out, but the experience was very humiliating and embarrassing to her. She said later that she felt that people were staring at her and making guesses about what might be wrong with her. Was she drunk or high on drugs, was she having a heart attack? Humiliation can…
